Music, art, theater, performance, dance and lots of celebration. This is the mix that forms the Favellê Music New York ball, led by Marivaldo dos Santos, artist, multi-instrumentalist, performer, cast member of the Stomp show and founder of the social project Quabales, in Salvador. Favellê Music New York Ball will be held at Loft 51, and aims to raise funds for Quabales, which, on January 10, 2022, celebrates 10 years of existence and work in the community in the Northeast of Brazil, Salvador, Nordeste de Amaralina, in the capital of Bahia. Developing various art and education activities in the community, Quabales faced the difficulties imposed by the pandemic, and had to adapt its activities over the past two years. Now, to strengthen the initiatives of this important cultural association, everyone's collaboration will be essential for the full resumption of activities. During Favellê Music, we will have QR Codes available for donations at various points in the space. Any amount will make a difference for Quabales. The cultural event will count on the collaboration of several artists, of different languages, to promote an evening of artistic interventions. The celebration will be inside Loft 51 space, but the excitement starts outside, with the welcoming led by a percussive group with Bahian grooves, which promises to warm up the cold of New York and bring the spirit of the city of Carnival from the streets of Salvador. Along with his son also a music producer, Kali dos Santos, Marivaldo will command the mixed sound, which will also be accompanied by live percussion. The sound of the drums will mix with the pagotrap, maracatu, samba reggae and funk grooves. The Favellê Music ball will also promote the reunion of one of New York's most beloved bands, the Ogans. In addition, we will feature performances by the STOMP cast and musical performances, with artists singing and playing different styles, including MPB and Bossa Nova.
